Liquid Polish occupies the intersection of craft and architecture — a premium trowel-applied coating system developed for spaces where the surface itself is an integral component of the design intent, not merely a background. Applied in successive layers by specialist trowel technicians, each installation develops its own inherent depth, tonal movement, and surface variation. The finish reads differently under different light conditions: luminous in natural light, warm and dimensional under artificial illumination. No two applications are identical — the finish is, by nature, singular. Specified for luxury residential commissions, boutique hospitality, high-end retail, and cultural institutions where a mechanically uniform appearance would be architecturally insufficient. A colour-matched mockup approval process is required prior to full installation.

STEP 1

Surface Preparation -- Substrate must be cured minimum 28 days. Surface must be firm, dry, clean, and free from sand, dust, rust, and oil. Moisture content must be less than 10%, pH below 10. Fill any cracks with anti-crack mortar. Ambient temperature 5-40 C, humidity below 85%.

STEP 2

Primer Application -- Apply 1 coat of special penetrating primer evenly on the prepared surface using a short-hair roller or spray equipment. Coverage: 0.125 kg/m2. Touch dry 1-2 hours, hard dry 2-3 hours.

STEP 3

Base Coat -- Apply 2 coats of colour base coat using a roller brush at 0.25 kg/m2. Allow 4-6 hours drying between coats. After drying, sand with 400-grit sandpaper for a smooth surface.

STEP 4

Main Paint (Liquid Polish) -- Apply 2-3 coats using a stainless steel trowel at 0.7-0.8 kg/m2 per coat. Apply first coat in random pattern, scrape surface with trowel after drying for texture. Each coat must be fully dry (6-10 hours) before applying the next.

STEP 5 (OPTIONAL)

Top Coat (Exterior Only) -- For exterior applications, apply 2 coats of water-repellent top coat at 0.125 kg/m2 using roller brush. Allow 4-6 hours drying between coats. This provides UV protection and waterproofing.

STEP 6

Post-Application Care -- Clean finished surfaces with water or mild detergent only. No acid-based products. Exterior top coat touch-ups every 2-3 years. Sealant reapplication every 3-5 years for exterior. Annual inspection recommended.
